I enjoy the chase, finding a bargain. These are a few items I am looking out for, my MOST WANTED;
Arcade
- Centipede original cabinet – I used to play this loads at the amusements, it was my goto machine. Something about it, the cabinet artwork, the sounds, the game-play I adore this machine. To this day I still remember exactly where it stood in the amusements, can still see it in my head.
- Another Mame Cabinet – my current mame cabinet is set-up for horizontal games, so as I am a bit of a picky git for wanting to play in the original state as possible I want another for Vertical games. I do currently play vertical games on my current machine, but have to tweak about the resolutions.
- Addams Family Pinball – just need to find a way to fund the purchase, AFP is my fav pin. I have only recently got into pinball, as I never played them much in the day. I just always ran by them fast to get to the arcade machines. I really enjoy playing them now, although I not very good.
- Track and Field arcade board – with Konami to Jamma adapter.
- Wonder Boy arcade board – wife’s favourite arcade game.
- Gyruss arcade board – one of my favourite shoot ’em ups. The music is epic
Gaming Hardware
- Vectrex game machine – my current one is faulty, I have tried to fix it and will keep trying. But if I do see one at a bargain price than BRING IT ON
- Commodore Amiga 1200 – my 600 hd is great and all modded to run games from hard-drive. however some games wont run from hd on the 600. Need to upgrade to a 1200, again just waiting for the right one at a good price.
- ZXSpectrum 128, +2, +3 – want either of these models as they support the use of a good rgb connection (for better quality video output) out of the box. My current models are either 16k or 48k and I just don’t want to mod them, want to keep them original. I love the look of the rubber keyboard zxspectrum.
- Nintendo Gamecube Wavebird controller – one of my favourite control sticks. Wish I had never got rid of it.
- Nintendo Virtual Boy – Looks so cool and unique, I tried one out at replay 2011. WANT ONE
- Media storage mods for the consoles – In time I want to mod most of my systems to run of new media (sd,harddrives) or multi carts. So to help preserve my original physical media.
- Hardware video mods for the consoles – I want to mod the systems that still need RF, so that they are able to support better and easier to find connectors. I only do this mods on duplicate hardware, as I like to keep some in their original form factor.
Games
- Multi Cart for Snes, MegaDrive – I managed to bag a SNES one for 15mins, until the seller backed out stating it broke as he was packing it up to send to me. Gutted. In time I do want to mod most of my systems to run of new media (sd,harddrives) or multi carts. So to help preserve my original physical media.
- Mule, for the Atari 800xl – This game is one of my all time favs, brings back some awesome memories hanging out with my mate Den. We had some epic battles.
- Tempest 2000, for Atari Jaguar – played it a few yrs back at Replay event, with the maker Jeff Minter watching. Great game, brill shoot ’em up.
- Galaga ’90, for the PC Engine – this is a port of one of my fav arcade machine Galaga ’88. Just bloody fast, addictive, need to have just one more go , fun packed shoot ’em up of awesomeness.
Misc
- Documentary, Once Upon Atari – The Video Story of Atari History
- Tabletop, ??????? – An eighties tabletop game that has you controlling a missile trying to shoot down aeroplanes which fly across the screen. I got this game as an xmas gift around the same time that I got Astro Wars. I just cant remember the name, but I will keep looking out for it.
- Convince the family that we don’t need a gym in the garage any more and than convert the space into a small arcade.
